I ordered Chicken Biryani and Chicken tikka masala as I saw good reviews and these seemed to be popular. Chicken tikka masala was more on the sweet side. Biryani did not taste good, tasted like plain rice with some color and some spices but it did not come together. Also chicken in both dishes looked like some cold/old chicken warmed, it was not juicy and not fresh, also not tender. I liked how they packed the biryani in foil container and not plastic but that was it. Food was pricey and I paid far distance delivery charge too so was really disappointed. I had high hopes after reading reviews and was planning to visit too but I did not like either dishes and will not be trying anything else.

You know the food is good when the chef comes out ask how your meal was!😋 Love this place I. The south side of Baldwin and you will too! I had the lamb saag spicy and Samosas! Love this place - quick service, great portions, nice environment!

If you’re looking for the best thali, just go to Raagini. I’ve tried plenty of spots in NY, and nothing comes close. What sets Raagini apart is the flexibility to choose your preferred protein, curry, and spice level. The sides of curry chickpeas are rich and perfectly spiced, the vegetables are fresh and flavorful, and the dal is comforting and delicious. The naan is soft, warm, and fresh. I love the sweet rice dessert as well. The value is incredible for the quality and portion. This has easily become my go to spot for thali, and honestly, I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

I did take out and was not disappointed. Raagini absolutely delivered. I ordered the curry shrimp, and it was the kind of dish that makes you stop mid‑bite just to appreciate what’s happening. The shrimp were perfectly cooked—tender, not rubbery—and the curry sauce had that ideal balance of heat, richness, and depth. You can tell they take pride in their flavors here. Service was warm, the portions were generous, and the whole experience felt like a step above the usual. If you’re anywhere near Baldwin and craving something flavorful, comforting, and done right, the curry shrimp at Raagini is a must.
